13 Week U/S!!
Well we had another u/s today, a big one that measures all the organs, limbs, etc. My mom came with us so that was fun! Both babies were looking great and were actually measuring 1 week ahead. She said we could come back for our next apt. and everything would be back on track, she said they go through growth spurts just like kids do! Both heartbeats were great, Baby A was 138 and Baby B was 142! Baby A is on my left side (down a little more) and Baby B is on my right (up higher). She said she would try and take a "peek" to see if she could find anything (gender wise), but no luck...still really early!! They were squirming around waving arms and legs, and we could see them opening and closing their mouths!! She was really nice and printed out a TON of pictures for us (12 total)...so here are a few from the u/s. The one of the hand is my favorite, Twin B was giving us a nice little wave!!! (remember you can click on the images and see them much bigger)!!

Fuzzy Little Peaches....
I am 13 weeks today...officially almost in the 2nd trimester!!!
Average size: 2.9 in, .81 oz
The babies are forming teeth and vocal cords... savor this, their non-functional phase. They are approaching normal proportions, with a head now only one third the size of the body. Intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy. (Much more convenient.)

Just a Little "Awe" Moment...
So Luis walks in the door last night from school, and I was in the kitchen, and he said "Awe....you look pregnant now"!!! It was very cute and he was very excited. I think it helped that the shirt I was wearing was a little tighter, but its true, my "I just look like I ate too many doughnuts" has turned into what I/we think is a little "bump"! It's very exciting and very cute!!! I am sure my feelings will change as I reach week 30 and am busting at the seems...or as my mother so kindly stated...I will be as big as a house..gee thanks mom!! (j/k...we were joking around). Maybe I will post pictures soon!

All Is Well!!!
So we had our NT Test on Friday, and all results came back great!!! Both babies have a 1 in 10,000 chance of having Down's Syndrome or Trisomy 18 (those are the highest odds they give). The u/s was fun!! the babies were moving ALL over the place, baby B was quite cooperative and relaxed, giving the tech a beautiful side view to take all the measurements...Baby A on the other hand was not...Luis laughed and said "uh oh, it is already like its mother, stubborn"!!! Baby A was initially showing us it's back, and she was trying to get it to turn, and it would start to and then flip completely to show us it's front....after about 10-15 min, and 2 different doctors, They were finally able to get baby A to flip and get a nice little side view!!
It was so fun to see them again, they are growing so much, and their parts were so much more distinguishable (legs, arms, fingers, toes, noses, spine, etc.). Below are 2 pics of their side view, both babies are on their backs face up...if you look closely you can see their little noses! Their little bellies are about the same size as their heads!!! (if you click on the image, you can see it bigger)!

12 Weeks Today!!!
Today I am 12 weeks, almost in my second trimester.....and yes, it still seems like time is crawling.......so here is this weeks food comparison! (plums aren't that much bigger than limes to me though - oh well)
Week 12: Plum
Average size: 2.1 in, .49 oz
As I move into the second trimester, the babies shift into the growth and maturation stage. After weeks in the critical development stage, almost all of the babies systems are fully formed.
Some changes I have noticed....I think I am actually starting to get a little "bump". I do think its still a combo of "I am eating for 3 now", bloat and of course, babies! I do notice that it seems to be more "babies" now, my stomach was flatter in the morning than it was at night (thanks to bloat) but now its about the same. Most of my pants are getting a lot tighter (only have one pair of jeans I can still button), and maternity pants are AMAZING...so comfortable, I feel like I am in my pj's all day, its great!! And so the growing begins!!!
We have our NT scan (u/s to measure the amount of fluid behind the babies necks...to check for Downs and other neural tube defects) scheduled for tomorrow, so I am just praying that these little beans are both ok!! This test is not "diagnostic" and will only give us "odds", it will probably be the only testing we will do. I will update and let you know how it all turned out!!

Under 200 Days!!
So I just looked at my ticker, and noticed that I am under the 200 day mark.....oh how time is going. Honestly though, it still seems like its crawling!! I mean it feels like forever ago that we first found out I was pregnant, but its really only been a little over 7 weeks! Oh well, I do hear the first trimester goes by pretty slow.....and I am almost in the second tri...YAY!!!

We have 2 Limes!!!
Well I am 11 weeks today, and apparently the babies are compared to the size of a lime!! Don't you love the constant food comparisons!
Week 11: Lime
Average size: 1.6 in. - 25 oz.
The baby currently enjoys a 1:1 ratio between body and head, and has skin so transparent that blood vessels show right through. But, fingers and toes are no longer webbed, and hair follicles, tooth buds and nail beds are forming -- setting up a significantly more attractive future.
Ok, some observations on this week's progress.....
1:1 ratio with the head....that's a funny thought..good thing that changes ;o)
hair follicles are forming...hmmm between me and Luis all I have to say is, poor kids, they will have a lifetime of "joy" with their hair, especially if they are girls!!!

Fun 10 wk. Appointment Yesterday!!!
So like I said we went in for a doctor apt. yesterday, to go over some lab work, general exam, and discuss testing options, etc. Well she did an u/s as well!! It was AMAZING!!! I can't believe how much they have changed in 3 weeks, they have gone from blobs to babies!! And we got to see them move...they were squirming like crazy!! We got to see arms legs, hands, feet, and even some shots showed the fingers and toes. God's creation is absolutely amazing and mind blowing...how these little "beans" can look so developed at only 10 weeks!!!

So below are some u/s pics, I have labeled the parts since they are kind of hard to make out. These pictures do it no justice, they looked so much clearer and real on the screen. She was having a hard time getting a clear picture and measurements of them because they were moving so much (why the pics are a little blurred)....and we were only able to get a good pic of one of the babies...the other one wasn't cooperating ;o)

10 Weeks Today!!!

Well apparently our little beans are about the size of a walnut right now...
Average size: 1.2 in, .14 oz
Arm joints are working, and soon legs will too. With bones and cartilage starting to form and vital organs beginning to function, baby is making major progress. Body length will almost double in the next three weeks.

We have another doctor apt. today, and secretly I am hoping for another u/s (ultrasound)...Its just so fun to see them. And I hear that they start to move around at this stage...would be so neat to see!!
Well, I am still feeling good, still no nausea, so I have a feeling that I just wont be getting it!!! YAY!!!
