The Lego Won!

Emma had an interesting interaction with a toy the other night....a lego. She fell and landed on it, managing to nail herself right between the eyes! She was a champ and didn't even shed a tear. Of course I had to capture the "damage"... a perfect circle right between the eyes!!! Also here are a few fun pics of her in her "girly dress"!

A Little Bit of Love...

So my girls have gotten more and more affectionate with each other the past month or so. I love to watch them love on each other, read books together, give them to each other, hug and even kiss. It is just too cute and I hope this is just the beginning of a very special bond they will share. Below are just a few pics of their recent interactions ;o)

I have recently started letting my girls watch a bit of TV (yea yea, supposed to wait until 2). They love a bit of sesame street in the morning while I make their breakfast...especially when it involves snuggling in their tent!!

Paige's First Haircut!

So "bangs" are a very touchy subject in our household...Luis is not a fan of bangs and always said our girls would not have them...I partially agreed. But for some reason I thought Paige would look really cute with bangs! she was starting to look "messy". Her bangs were not very long, but in her face and she refused to keep a clip in. So after getting many opinions and much debate, I FINALLY got Luis to agree....on one condition, I could not touch them. We had to take her to someone, Luis' choice, which was the lady who has cut his hair since he was 5. I agreed.

The one thing that I feared the most was that they would end up too short....and well, that is exactly what happened. I wanted them just above her eyebrows, but during the cut, she had her eyebrows up in that "what is going on" look the whole time, making it look as if they were really longer than they were. Oh well, hair grows and I think she looks ADORABLE!!!! She did so good though, it took about a 5 minutes and she didn't move an inch. Both her and Emma got a lollipop after! My baby is gone, I now have a little girl!!!!

A String of Words...

So Emma said what I am calling her first sentence today! She has recently started trying to say Paige, but it comes out "Paze" sometimes just "pay.." Well this morning when I walked in to get Paige from her crib I was holding Emma and she said "Hi Paze"! Soo cute!! Yes its only 2 words, but I am counting it as a sentence!! They are getting so big and so smart!!!!

Becasue I don't want to forget....

The girls have finally started "talking"....or saying words, and I just don't want to forget what they know at this age. So here it goes! Both girls are very similar and really only have 1 or 2 word differences.

Paige...
Daddy
Papa (haven't figured out if this means the same as daddy)
Mama
No
Uh oh
doggy
hi
bye bye
ni ni
meow (what she calls a kitty)
ball
tu tu (or something like that...means tub tub)
dip (referring to dipping her food in ketchup)
woof woof
up
dow (down)
Eyes
Nose (which sounds more like noo)

Emma...
Daddy
No
uh oh
doggy
hi
bye bye
ni ni
meow (same as paige)
ball
cookie (sounds more like cook)
woof woof
monkey sound
up
down
eyes
nose
nie (nice)

I might be forgetting some, but I think this is it!

They also both know the signs for "more" and "please". Although lately "please" has become the sign of choice, and is used whenever they want something....

A Little of This and That...

So I realize I have been a really bad blogger and it has been a really long time since I updated! I don't have anything particularly clever to talk about, so I will just fill this post with pics! I did take the girls to the doctor the other day for a check up and these are their current stats!

Paige - 26 lbs 1 oz. 32 in. tall
Emma - 20lbs 8 oz. 29 7/8 in. tall

These are from a recent trip to the snow....neither were very excited about it, Emma made the best of it, but Paige and the snow did not get along!!! She was ok for a bit, but then that went downhill real fast!

Christmas Morning and Christmas Day

Warning, there is going to be MAJOR picture overload here! We had a blast this year with the girls. They were not as into ripping off wrapping paper as I thought they would, but after a few presents they finally got the hint (especially Paige). We woke up Christmas morning and unwrapped presents and had a big breakfast, and then headed to my parents for Dinner and of course, more presents ;o)

I have so many captions for these pics but always have a heck of a time getting blogger to lay things out right for me, oh well! So I will give a quick run-down! They got so many fun things! Luis and I got them their first little bikes...we know they are not really old enough, but Luis really wanted to get them for them and we are working on learning how to pedal ;o). The picture of Emma sitting in the stroller makes me laugh...she was determined to sit in it herself (and actually ripped it) and Paige was getting so mad at her!! My parents got them the cars you ride around in, they LOVE them!! And the last pic....how else did you expect us to get them home....it was pretty funny, couldn't resist taking a pic of it!

I told Emma this is not a happy face, its Christmas morning ;o)
