Meet Paige and Emma!

Well our girls are here!!!! They came by great surprise on October 6th! Here is my birth story...

Went to bed around 11:00 pm on Sunday night feeling like my normal self. Woke up at 2:15am to do one of my many potty breaks and got back in bed. I was in bed for no more than 1 min and I felt this HUGE gush! I jumped out of bed and stood there for a second and then came another HUGE gush!!!! I looked down and there was fluid everywhere (so not what I expected). Luis must have heard me and sat up and I said oh so casually, "I think my water just broke"...he jumped up with the hugest smile on his face! My first thought was the mattress (gotta love priorities)...especially since there was so much fluid. So I ripped the sheets and mattress pad off and thankfully all was good (wondering why this couldn't have happened just 2 min before on the toilet)! I Made my way to the bathroom and called L&D. They told me to come in. The contractions started right away, but nothing major at all! We arrived and checked in about 3:30 am they hooked me up and said my contractions were about every 1.5-2 min. (I still wasn't feeling them that bad). They checked and I was 3 cm. dilated. Since I was having a c-section (both breech) they decided to get me in right away because they didn't want me to progress much further. The next thing I new I was sitting getting my spinal (which was way easier than I had anticipated) and they were laying me on the table. Luis came in and things got started! I got really nauseous and began throwing up (now that was fun)! Just a few minutes later Paige Eliana was born (5:31am) 6lbs 6oz.!! I heard that scream and immediately started crying...I couldn't believe it was real!! Next came Emma Giana at 5:32am at 6lbs. 11oz!! Both my girls were here and I was immediately in love! The c-section went well and they wheeled me into recovery...It seemed like forever until I was taken to my room and finally got to hold my girls!!! It was such a sweet moment and I will never forget it! I really didn't think it was possible to love something so much!!!

We were released Thursday evening and everything is going really well!! The c-section recovery is much better than I anticipated and the girls are so good!!!! Below are 2 pictures from the hospital. The first is right at birth (Paige on left Emma on right) the second is at 3 days old (Emma on left and Paige on right)! I will post more later..I just need to get them all downloaded and sorted!!!
