Where has the time gone???

Ok, so I realize that it has been almost a month since I posted last...I am slacking greatly in this area!!!!! So here it goes...a re-cap on the past month!

The girls are getting so big and weighing about 10 lbs..maybe more! We have their 2 month apt. and shots next Monday, so I will have an official weight then!

Paige...
Paige is my little serious girl. She observes and looks around with a look like she is contemplating life. She is not as expressive as her sister, but I can see her sweetness in her eyes, and I love her perfect little lips! She can hold her head up like a champ and really enjoys her tummy time! She is a solid little girl...I call her my little "beef cake". And just the other day she discovered her thumb and sucked like a champ for a few minutes...she has done it one other time since then..and its just so darn cute! She is my mellow one who I can usually rely on to entertain herself while I tend to her more "needy" sister. She has also started to make little "happy noises" (that is what I call them)...Emma started these a few weeks ago, and it was so cute to hear the first one out of Paige! She is going through her growth spurt and eating like crazy lately (more than her sister) and I also call her my little alarm clock. No matter what time we put her down at night she will faithfully wake up at 3:00 am to eat! For her napping is overrated, she would much rather be alert and awake just hanging out (kind of like her mommy)!

Emma...
Emma is definitely my expressive, full of personality, needy little girl. She has started to smile and it is just so darn cute! It is not very consistent yet, but its there! She is doing much better now at lifting her head up, but does not enjoy tummy time like her sister does (unless it involves sleeping on her tummy), she would much rather be up on your shoulder looking around. She also loves to sit on your lap and bounce back and forth (this is daddy's secret weapon when she is being, as he calls it, a "cranky pants"). She is also my little sleeper...napping is her favorite thing (kind of like her daddy). I also think if it wasn't for her sister's 3:00 am alarm clock, that she would sleep through the night! When she is happy she is so fun to be around, but she can turn the cranky switch on almost instantly, and becomes quite the little drama queen! She had about 2 weeks where she was extremely fussy in the evenings, nothing would really soothe her. But she has been so much better lately and we are hoping she has grown out of it! She is our little snuggle bug, weather its when you are holding her, or when you give her a little blanky, she grabs it and pulls it up to her face to snuggle.

It is so fun to see their different personalities develop, and watch them grow. Part of me is sad at how fast they are growing, not the little squishy infants they used to be, but the other part of me is excited to see them grow and reach each new milestone! These girls have become my life, and its definitely an adjustment, but I (and Luis), are loving every moment of it, and wouldn't change it for the world! Now that they are here, I really can't imagine life without them!

Below is a pic of the girls in their first "big girl jeans" compliments of Auntie Aimee!
