What the girls are up to this week...
By now, they weigh 3.75 pounds (pick up a large jicama) and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. You're gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, They will gain a third to half of their birth weight during the next 7 weeks as they fatten up for survival outside the womb. They now have toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). Their skin is becoming soft and smooth as they plump up in preparation for birth.
Well I feel like I am in the home stretch! Only 6 weeks max...so far things have been going by pretty fast, although I am sure it will slow down in anticipation of these little girls to arrive! I do feel like we have a lot to do yet, the nursery is still not finished, although it is coming along!!! Still getting bigger (if that's possible)...belly has to be measuring over 40 weeks now (was 39 2.5 weeks ago)! Feet are also really big and uncomfortable, but otherwise hanging in there!
