The Wonders of a Good Doctor!

So you think it would be easy to find a pediatrician that "listened to you" or had answers to your questions....or was able to help fix your child...well, apparently its not! I finally found someone who I really really like and helped us out a ton!!! We have been dealing with Emma's skin for months now and it has just continued to get worse! Well she finally gave us some answers...she has eczema, which I had a feeling, but had previously been told to use vaseline. We were also told she just had sensitive skin. Well her new pedi prescribed an oil for us to use 2 times a day and a lotion (just get it at the drugstore) 3 times a day or as needed. We also do baths everyday, but only soap once a week. Well after only a few days her spots are pretty much gone!!!! My baby girl has soft skin again...no more red and bumpy dry rashes. It felt SO good to finally get some answers and a solution that worked! Oh and she told me not to use vaseline on her anymore, she said for some cases it works but in hers its not and probably actually making it worse! Lovely!! So all you moms...stick with your gut!! Here are some before and after pics!

And on another note...we also got some answers for Paige. Yesterday she saw a physical therapist. She has slight torticollis which explains the flattening of her head on her right side. Basically she has a tight neck and we will be working on stretches to help it work itself out. She will also be seeing an opthomologist for her eyes at the end of the month...her left eye slightly crosses in and they like to monitor it if its been like that for 6 months.

well...I did like how he was interactive with the girls..but felt like that was all he really wanted to do. Totally dismissed Emma's skin (didnt even really look at it) and just told us she is sensitive and use vaseline (which was actually making it worse). And as far as Paige, he said her eye's and head were fine..but I was adimant about the eyes so he said he would put a referral through (never did). and it turns out she does need physical therapy and needs to see an eye doctor (physical therapist thought so too)...so, he just didnt work for us! but he was a nice guy.

Wow- that is good to know. Sorry you had to go through that! I'm glad you finally found a good Doctor. So what is going on with Paige's eyes? Does she seem to have difficult seeing?
