Update on Paige...

Well all is good when it comes to her eyes! She apparently has what is called pseudo strabismis. Basically her eye crossing in is all an illusion. Babies have broad nose bridges but those whose are a bit broader than normal (which hers is) often have this...she also has some extra folds of skin around that eye (near the nose) which hides more of the white of the eye giving the illusion that they are crossed. He said as she matures and her face structure changes this will become less and less obvious and won't even be noticeable. He did dilate her eyes and looked inside....he wanted her to see an optometrist to get re-measured. So we went back wednesday...eyes dilated again, and the doctor took a look. She is a little farsighted (which most babies are) and she said she will probably grow out of it. She also has a slight astigmatism, but not severe enough to do anything about now...basically we go back in 6 months for monitoring! I am so glad my little girl doesn't need glasses...not that I don't think she would be absolutely adorable...just getting an 8 month old (with a very nosy grabby sister) to keep glasses on did not sound very fun!!
