Here is what the girls are up to this week...They are about 15.7 inches long now, and weigh almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds them, but that volume will decrease as they get bigger and takes up more room in the uterus. Their eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after they are born, they'll keep their eyes closed for a good part of the day. When they do open them, they will respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means they can only make out objects a few inches from their faces. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)
I realized that I never updated last week...ooops!!! I have been so busy and time is starting to go so fast! I feel like we have so much yet to do!!! I decided just last week to change my bedding and color scheme of the room (eeek)! And its all the fault of Ikea. We ventured out there last Friday night and stumbled upon a plethora of very goofy and colorful stuffed animals that I just loved..I plan to put them all up on a shelf...well then my mom and I went to a fabric store which was full of a ton of fun fabric...and so the doubting began...lo and behold I have decided to go a completely different route! Basically it will be brighter colors, a light aqua blue with bright pink, lighter pink and lime green! I am excited and I think it will be fun!! I will have to post pictures when it's done!
We have had 2 showers now, and 2 more to come!!! Our house is slowly filling with baby stuff!! I am definitely getting bigger (I know I need to update pics)..and getting much more uncomfortable. Sitting all day in a chair at work is really starting to get to me, and my feet are huge...I call them "shrek feet"! We will see how long I last ;o)
Well 8 more weeks max...wow!!! I can't wait!!!
