Both girls are also unswaddled at night now (geesh, I thought they would be swaddled until they were teens with how much they loved them). Once Emma rolled we had to pull her out. They are both still swaddled on the bottom (easing out of it, and helps keep them warm), and surprisingly it is going pretty well! Emma has discovered that she can move about her cirb now, and often likes to sleep on her side.

cute!! how did you unswaddle them? I worry that Brighton will NEVER be there either cuz he goes to town scratching his face :( and he put him to bed awake so I worry about that!
Rachel...good to hear from you! It actually went better than I thought. Emma was a HUGE face scratcher..she didn't know how to rub her eyes, instead she would grab at them...so I was afraid she would tear her face up while trying to fall asleep, but surprisingly she did well. We put them to bed awake too, and it does take them a little longer to fall asleep than when they were fully swaddled (they used to fall asleep almost instantly, now they will babble for a bit. They are also still swaddled for naps..we haven't mastered that yet. I started gradually...one arm out then both arms out! I think you could wait until he is ready to be unswaddled though, he will let you know. Either he will bust out every night, or he will start rolling over!!!
